The Japanese have never yet been afforded concrete proof of the assertions in the British, French and American press, that Germany was the principal suppliers of arms to China, and naturally tend to dismiss such statements as mere diversionist propaganda.

4. Three personal files of David KUNG, son of the Finance Minister H.H. KUNG and head of the Central Trust, are being temporarily retained in this office, as they contain some items of military intelligence which are worth copying. Everything else is being left to the D.S.0. and Police authorities to deal with; but I should of course be grateful to be informed in due course of any items of military interest which might be discovered.
